Willis Grubb

Grubb Jr., Willis (Bill) Arthur, 91, died Friday, February 22, 2008. Bill was born December 31, 1916 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to his parents Willis Arthur & Lois (Adams) Grubb, Sr. He served his country in World War II in the United States Coast Guard and received an honorable discharge. Bill worked for the City of Tulsa Water Department as their Plant Manager until his retirement, yet he maintained part-time employment as late as last year. He was very active in the Christ United Methodist church serving as the Lead Usher for nearly 50 years.

Bill is predeceased by his parents and his brother, Robert Grubb. He is survived by his wife, Jay Dean Grubb, who resides in The Memory Unit of Cedar Ridge; his son, Sam Grubb, son Bill Grubb and his wife, Nancy, and granddaughter Katelyn, all of Tulsa. Bill was a kind, warmhearted, strong-willed man who was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He enriched the lives of all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 26 at Christ United Methodist Church, 3515 S. Harvard and will lie in state 10:00 - 8:00 P.M. Monday at Ninde Woodland Chapel.
