William Lamoreaux

William Roy (Bill) Lamoreaux was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan on April 30, 1928 to Robert H. and Esther Lamoreaux. He was a retired business owner and editor. He went home Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the age of 82.

Bill served in the U. S. Navy, graduated from Michigan State University in 1951, shortly after, he married the love of his life, Patricia Joan (Ridenour) Lamoreaux. She preceded him in death in 1984. Their five children survive, including Greg (Cathy) Lamoreaux, of Broken Arrow, OK, Steve (Kristy) Lamoreaux, of Mounds, OK, Michelle "Shelly" Browne, of Kennesaw, GA, Renee Lamoreaux, of Tulsa, OK and Jeff (Mary) Lamoreaux, of Mounds, OK; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; his sister, Carolyn Lamoreaux, of Watervliet, MI and many nieces and nephews. Bill formerly owned Seahawk Mfg. of Tulsa that his son Greg and grandchildren operate today. He and Pat owned the Stretch-N-Sew fabric store in the late 70's and 80's. He was an expert photographer, writer and editorserving as editor of the Michigan State Alumni magazine for many years. He loved to dance, create stained glass and play golf at Cotton Creek Golf Course owned by his sons, Steve and Jeff. Memorial service 11:00 A.M.
