Wallace K. "Wally" Standridge was born April 4, 1927 in Ellinwood, Kansas to Kay Melvin and Sophia (Helfrich) Standridge. He went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma at the age of 84.
Wally worked for many years for Smith-Corona where he was a Business Machine Technician. He gave his heart to Jesus at a young age at a church where his Grandfather led the singing. His family moved to the Northwest side of Tulsa and in 1957 he joined the Glenwood Baptist Church where he began a lifetime of ministry to all ages but specifically to the youth.
Wally is survived by his sisters, Mary Jo Rudishauser of Oregon City, Oregon and June Jenks, of Tulsa; her brother, Dan Melvin Standridge of Tulsa.
Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16th at Glenwood Baptist Church.
