Wadie Stephenson

Wadie Lee Stephenson was born January 23, 1925 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Hobert McKinley and Irene (Reed) Stephenson. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. Wadie wore many hats as did most of his hard-working generation. He was a Pentecostal preacher and served several small churches while working other jobs to supplement his income. He finished his working career as a siding installer. Preceded in death by his parents, Wadie is survived by his wife, Velda Evelyn (Custer) Stephenson of 42 years; his daughters Wanda Young, Saundra Baker and Larue Rogers; his son, William Warren; eight grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.

Wadie will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home with graveside services 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Ketchum Cemetery, Ketchum, Oklahoma.
