W. Christy

William David Christy, born November 27, 1970 in Tulsa, OK at St. Francis Hospital, passed into the arms of our Lord, November 7, 2009.

David graduated from Jenks High School in 1989, attended Tulsa Welding School. After graduating Welding School, joined the United States Marines in 1995 serving with the 1st Battalion 7th Marine as a Rifleman and Infantry Instructor. During his time in the Corp, he traveled to Okinawa Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Iwo Jima, Korea, Brunei and Cobra Gold. After returning to live in Broken Arrow, OK, worked as a welder for construction companies in the area.

David is survived by his parents, Ray and Glenda Christy, Broken Arrow, OK, his brother, Dennis and wife Sherri of Coweta, Ok, his sister, Jennifer Boelkes and her husband Jody of Broken Arrow, OK, nephews Kevin Bennett, Jordon Christy and Pierson Boelkes, nieces Lauryn Christy and Megan Boelkes. Uncles, Dewey Rogers, Louie Rogers and his wife Janice, Aunt Donna Rogers. Cousins Crystal Brown and Steven Rogers. David is also survived by a multitude of aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters, joined by the heart through a lifetime of love.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday at The Church at Battle Creek, 3025 N. Aspen, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with interment at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
