Vivian Lassiter

Vivian Mae Lassiter was born May 28, 1924 in Cuba City, WI to William and Ethel (Joyce) Birkett. She passed from this life Monday, July 15, 2013 in Tulsa at the age of 89.

Vivian was a 1942 graduate of Webster High School. She served as secretary, teacher and deaconess at Memorial Christian Church and volunteered for Meals on Wheels at East Side Christian Church for many years. She was always kind, loving, and willing to help everyone. She was devoted to her family and her grandchildren were the light of her life. She always lived her life according to her strong Christian faith.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Justus, in 1958 and her husband of 34 years, Larue Lassiter; sisters, Joyce Garrison, Bette Rotrahmel and Emily Lawson; brother, Jack Birkett; son, Andy Justus; daughter, Carol Edwards; and granddaughter, Jill Justus. She is survived by daughter, Pam Sharpe; granddaughter, Andrea Cowsar; grandsons, Jeremy, Jonathan and Eric Justus and Justin Sharpe; great grandsons, Cordell and Andy Justus and several nieces and nephews.
