Virginia Norene (Henderson) Mathis was born December 10, 1924 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Robert Francis and Sina Roxana (Grayson) Henderson and passed from this life October 15, 2009 at the age of 84.
Preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Gladys Henderson and Bertie James, Virginia is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Doyle and Celesta Mathis and Wayne L. and Sally Mathis; her sister, Louise Henderson; her grandchildren and their spouses, LeiAnne & Henry DeLeon and Gene & Gaye Mathis; and her great grandchildren, Cheyenne Mathis and Cliston Zachary.
Virginia will lie in state 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday with a funeral service being held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, both at Ninde Woodland Funeral Home Chapel with final interment at Glencoe Cemetery, Glencoe, Oklahoma.
