Violet Berry

Violet Lucille (Anderson) Berry was born April 26, 1922 in Fannin County, Texas the daughter of Henry Allen and Nancy Belle (Lowery) Anderson. She completed this life on Friday, May 4, 2012 at the age of 90.

Violet married Dr. James Roy Berry on December 17, 1944 in Bonham, Texas. They moved to Tulsa in 1953 where he opened a dental practice. Dr. Berry preceded her in death in 1988. She was a member of the Tulsa Dental Auxiliary and enjoyed playing golf at the Oaks Country Club. She was a devoted Christian and was a very active member of Brookside Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Regina Sorokes and her husband Gary of Kent, Ohio; her sisters, Romie Mendenhall of Bonham, Texas and Ruth VanLandingham of Norman, Oklahoma; her brothers, Wade Anderson of Dallas, Texas and Dale Anderson of Plano, Texas. In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by her son, James Ronald Berry.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Ninde Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Brookside Baptist Church with interment following in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to Brookside Baptist Church, 3615 S. Peoria, Tulsa, OK 74105.

If anybody could get the "gold star" for the all time universes' true believer in Christ it should be my Mom with all her heart and soul! I know we're losing her but I know she's GAINING God's Promise!!
