Mrs. Verdia Betrice McShann, age 80 went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 31, 2010.
Verdia was born to the union of Jessie and Irene (Woodfork) Wilford on December 31, 1929 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was a high school graduate. and was associated as an employee of Holiday Inn, Bama Pie and Kress's store for a number of years. She was a faithful member of the Vernon A.M.E. Church.
She leaves behind to mourn, her daughter, Wanda Shepherd of Tulsa and a sister Lillie Ann Howard also of Tulsa, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Memorial services for Mrs. McShann will be held on Monday, November 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Vernon A.M.E. Church with Rev. Michelle K.T. Moulden officiating.
