Obituary
Velma Lee (Nichols) Day was born February 12, 1945 in Ashdown, Arkansas the daughter of John and Bonnie. She passed from this life on Thursday, August 25, 2011 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years.
Velma worked for many years as a ticket agent for Trans World Airlines (T.W.A.) then later for American Airlines.
She leaves behind to mourn her passing her daughter, Earserla Yuvell Works of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her sons, Larvell Works of Phoenix, Arizona and Fred Tobie of San Francisco, California; her sisters, Starla Jackson of California and Becky Jordan of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her brother Robert Lee Jackson of California; her five Grandchildren and her three great Grandchildren.
Her home going service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2011 in the Ninde Brookside Chapel, 3841 S. Peoria. The Rev. Gregory West, Pastor of Gilcrease Baptist Church, will officiate.
