Vangie McClendon

Evangelista "Vangie" Marie Echohawk McClendon was born February 27, 1930 in Isleta, New Mexico to Seferino and Damacia (Lucero) Jojola and passed from this life July 19, 2010 at the age of 80.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Delray B. Echohawk and Delmas B. McClendon; her brothers, Tony Jojola, Pat Jojola and Joe Jojola; her sons, Earl Echohawk and Brian Echohawk; Vangie is survived by her sons, Joe Echohawk and Steve Echohawk; her sisters, Lupe DeCora, Ann Gilbert and Miriam Lucero; six grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Vangie will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday with family visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the New Haven Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, 3640 S New Haven Ave. She will be laid to rest following at Osage Memorial Gardens, Skiatook, Oklahoma.
