Obituary
Tommie Jean Rains was born on April 13, 1931 in Butler Community near Grove, Oklahoma to Thomas and Minnie (Caudill) Murphye.
Tommie married C.L. "Salty" Rains on September 13, 1948 in Pryor, Oklahoma. She workd twenty-three years for Tulsa Public Schools as a Cafeteria Manager. She was a member of Nogales Avenue Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Connie Spencer of Collisville, Jim Rains and wife, Cindy of Sand Springs, Brenda Burress and husband, Allen of Skiatook and Brian Roins and wife, Pam of Claremore. A grandmother to eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, also surviving is her sister, Maxine Brumbaugh of Sunnyside, Washington, and her nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.L. "Salty" Rains, her parents and three sisters, Noami Cornell, Francis Sloan and Uvonne Hawkins.
