Timm P. Wells

Timm P. Wells June 29, 1956—June 14, 2021

Timm passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones and friends. He grew up in the countryside near Stockton, CA, graduated from Linden Unified High School in 1974, and spent the rest of his life in the Tulsa area.

Timm earned his B.S. in Elementary Education from Langston University and M.S. in Curriculum Instruction from OSU. He spent many years teaching in Tulsa Public Schools and retired from teaching in Sand Springs Public Schools. After retirement he volunteered as Reading Specialist for Tulsa area charitable organizations. Timm also worked over two decades for Red Lobster. He enjoyed teaching, reading, remodeling, landscaping, dachshunds, humor and writing. Under his penname, Dusty Kohl, he published a series of books about his grandmother’s life “In Those Days” a series of ethereal novels “Swim Coach” as well as other books, poetry and short stories.

He is survived by his children in Tulsa: son, Chris; daughter Emma Norris; grandchildren Bella and Thomas Norris; and great-granddaughter Kairi Norris. In Stockton he is survived by his father Howard Wells, Sr., sister Vickie Fowler, and niece Michelle Fowler. He is also survived by his brother Howard Jr. of Idaho, plus five nephews, and many friends.

Timm was preceded in death by his mother Mary Wells and sister Tierena Johnson, both of Stockton.

Timm requested there be no funeral or memorial service. His ashes will be interred by his children per his instructions.
