Obituary
Thomas Haskins Hull, Sr., “Tommy” was born on November 26, 1950 in Tulsa, OK to Joseph Lumpkin Hull, II and Dathel Haskins Hull. Tommy passed from this life on November 18, 2015, at the age of 64.
Tommy was fun loving, free spirited and full of life. He loved the outdoors and could often be found riding his bicycle around town. Throughout his life, he sought out the most obscure, offbeat, and interesting people and places and enjoyed sharing his discoveries with his friends and family. He was an adventurer, philosopher, jokester and friend who was always ready for a stimulating conversation.
Tommy graduated from Edison High School in 1969. He began his college career at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana and later transferred to the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Philosophy. He went on to study law at the University of Tulsa, where he received his Juris Doctor. He became a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association on January 2nd, 1985, and was admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma in 1986. He was a professor at the University of Colorado, where he taught a course titled “Oil and Gas Mineral Titles, Leasing and Related Law” in the Mineral Land Management curriculum. He was a law clerk for the 14th Judicial District for the State of Oklahoma, and was legal counsel in several published cases (Shoemaker vs. First National Bank of Tulsa; 967 P2d 871; Redricks vs. Industrial Vehicles International) He was a member of the American Association of Petroleum Landmen, Denver Association of Petroleum Landmen and Tulsa Association of Petroleum Landmen.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter Taylor, who is the child of his first wife, Susan West; his daughter Mary Temple and son, Teak, who are the children of his second wife, Kelly Clark; his dog, Kaya; his siblings, Dathel, Joseph, Kip and Leslie; and several extended family and friends too numerous to count.
Tommy was loved by many and will be dearly missed. We sincerely appreciate the generous thoughts and wonderful memories so many of you have shared with us. We would like to specially recognize Bob Law and David Hale, who were Tommy’s lifelong friends, and who always stood by his side. We also thank Mr. and Mrs. Warren, who have always shown incredible kindness to our family. Finally, we thank the compassionate nurses and personnel with Grace Hospice and Wildwood Care Center, who helped Tommy pass on with dignity and in peace, and who provided so much comfort and support to his family.
A celebration of Tommy’s life was held 1:00 PM Wednesday at Asbury Methodist Church, Mason Chapel.

Tommy was my childhood best friend’s dad. He took us on incredible adventures ranging from haunted hotel stays in Eureka Springs, the Tulsa state fair to ride the scariest, most flipping and daring rides and to Tony Roma’s to eat ‘dirt cup’ desserts. He had a way of showing us not to take ourselves so seriously and it helped me grow into the moment. I’m so grateful for his influence in myself and his spirit is still with me.

I lived in Tulsa during the '80s and became good friends with Tommy. Many laughs and fun adventures. In fact we created the International Raft Diving Contests in our backyard pool that went on all summer long. Glad we reconnected on Facebook just a few months ago. RIP Tommy.
