Thelma Irene (Woodward) Lawson, 94, died at her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Saturday, May 31, 2008. Mrs. Lawson was born November 2, 1913 in Seminole, Oklahoma the daughter of Marcus Edley and Alva (Coleman) Woodward. She has made her home in Tulsa since 1941. In 1948 she married, Willie D. Lawson and he preceded her in death on May 14, 1987. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Stanley Cox. Stanley died in 1966 while serving his country in the Vietnam War. She is survived by her daughters: Eleanor Clark of Tulsa, Kay Cole of Bixby, OK, Winona Lawson of Broken Arrow, OK, Wahleah Vogt of Tulsa and Sheila Laird of Tulsa; her sons: Samuel Alexander and Rexwold Alexander both of Stigler, OK; 16 Grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 on Tuesday at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home, 3841 S. Peoria. Service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 4th in the Ninde Brookside Chapel with interment following in the Floral Haven Cemetery.
