Thelma Barnes

Barnes, Thelma Lucile, age 84, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 14, 2009. She was born on October 23, 1924 in Carlinville, IL to James and Hazel (Elkington) Karrick. During her life Thelma worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Thelma was a longtime member of Brookside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Roy Clifford Barnes on July 12, 2007. She is survived by her daughters, Becky Raney, of Tulsa, OK, Elaine Wright, of Deer Park, WA; Paula Hodges, of Coventry, Warwickshire, England, Rosemary Barnes, of San Diego, CA; her sons, Curtis Barnes, of Galatia, IL and Dan Barnes, of New Germany, MN; her sister, Betty Bouillon, of Carlinville, IL and Janet Raby, of Petersburg, TN; her brother, Lyndol Karrick, of Mesquite, TX; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
