Shelton Roegels

Shelton Gregory "Casey" Roegels, 88, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2009. He was born October 20, 1921 in Alice, Texas, the youngest of eight sons, to William Victor and Margaret Gregory Roegels. He served in the US Army Air Corp during WWII. On July 1, 1944 he married his high school sweetheart, Ina Jane Heywood in Tulsa. He received his Bachelors degree in economics from the University of Tulsa where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. After graduation he went to work for Bethlehem Steel Corporation, Supply Division, where he retired as assistant to the Vice President in 1980 after 30 years. Shelton loved cooking, especially for the men and women of St. John's Episcopal Church, and he looked forward to football season each year.

He is survived by his wife: Ina, of 65 years; his son: John Roegels of Tulsa; his daughter: Pamela Dose and her husband Ken of Tulsa; his grandchildren: Kendra Diane Dose of Tulsa, Cynthia Elise Brixey and her husband Tyler of Broken Arrow, Ian Gregory Roegels and Melody Grace Roegels both of Oklahoma City; his Great Grandchildren: Haven Paige Brixey and Brian Gregory Roegels.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 26 at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in St. John Episcopal Church with interment in Floral Haven Cemetery.
