Obituary
Michael Sean Deetz-Pendergrass, 49, died peacefully in his home on Saturday, April 17, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on May 8, 1971 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Michael and Kathleen Deetz. Sean raised his sons Wolfgang and Hunter in the Tulsa area.
Sean attended and graduated from Tulsa Union High School in 1990. Upon graduation he attended Tulsa Vo-Tech and received his certification in custom auto restoration. After school, he started working for Hot Rods by Johnny Young where he worked for 7 years. He then went onto work at Thomas Cadillac for a few years.
Sean enjoyed gardening and wine making in his free time. He liked concocting different types of wines with different grapes and floral aromas for his family to enjoy. He recently also acquired a pet duck that he loved spending time with.
He was preceded in death by his mother Kathleen and his stepfather Thom who had adopted him around the age of 7. He is survived by his sons Wolfgang and Hunter; Father Michael Deetz and wife Donna; Sister Sara McCune husband Guy McCune; His nieces, numerous aunts and uncles, and extended family members.

All my love to Sean's family and friends. Sean was a part of my life for nearly 10 years when he worked for JY and at Thomas. Johnny and my mom dated for many years. I was a kid when I met him and he took on the roll of a funny, wild, and protective brother in the shop. He made sure none of the fellas in the other shops got too out of line around us kids. I will never forget him offering to teach me how to ride this motorbike we had at the shop and all the older guys said no way! Sean said I wont wreak it! 30 minutes later I see him limping across the parking lot and his jeans tore up. He wreaked the bike on the gravel at the railroad tracks. LOL He was a good guy. We had a ton of laughs. I have a million stories to share about him that bring a huge smile to my face. Love, Kristi Dover Wood
