Samuel Walter Hays, Jr. was born on July 28, 1930 in Madison, AR to Samuel Walter Hays and Pauline (McFall) Hays. Sam passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the age of 84.
Sam owned and operated Star Auto Service for years before retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosetta (Willey) Hays and two children, James L. Hays and Mary Elaine Hays. He is survived by his children, Susan Gilmer of Tulsa, Julie Kay Hays of Tulsa and Melissa Lynn Hays of Oklahoma City, OK and 5 grandchildren, Shaun Gilmer, Crystal Clark, Raena Harris, Candace Harris and Stephen Henderson.
Private family services will be held.
