Ronald Sherrod

Ronald Dean Sherrod was born on October 31, 1947 in Tulsa, OK to Jack Eldon Sherrod and Annette Josephine (Bucher) Sherrod. Ron passed from this life on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the age of 65.

Ron was a man of many talents. He loved training dogs, especially training them for the agility course. He had the patience to care for Bonzi trees! Ron loved playing poker with his friends and enjoyed his Solo II Car Racing. He was a self taught guitarist, harmonica player and singer and started his own band called "Just Us" and loved traveling with his wife, Cassie, to play gigs all over. Ron was the kind of guy that needed a challenge and when taking on a new endeavor, there was a learning curve and he had the ability to overcome the challenge. He retired from Sherrod Properties, Inc. a realty company he started.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Jack Sherrod in 1957 and his mother, Annette in 1993. He is survived by his wife, Catherine "Cassie" Sherrod of the home; a son, Paul Sherrod of Arkansas; a sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Marvin Williams of Owasso, OK and his step father, J.D. Thompson of Dallas, TX.
