Robert Parmele

Robert Lawrence Parmele, Sr. was born on September 19, 1923 in Tulsa, OK to Walter and Hazel (Tucker) Parmele. Bob passed from this life on Monday, April 9, 2012 at the age of 88.

He was an honorably discharged veteran serving in the Army during WWII and he later owned Parmele Real Estate from which he retired. Bob was a lifetime fisherman and fished in most of the 50 states and internationally in Canada, Mexico and Brazil. Bob and his son's trophy fish are on display at the Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks. Bob and his late wife, Vivian, loved traveling in their RV. He owned a vacation home in the Florida Keys and enjoyed being the boat captain of the "ViBop" with his children, grandchildren and friends as "mates".

In 2005, Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Vivian and in 2010 his son, Robert L. Parmele, Jr. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Parmele, of Tulsa; grandchildren, Mike Parmele, Angela Loveless, Clare Tousley, Provin Martin, Darren Parmele and Bobby Parmele; great grandchildren, Kyle, Levi and Aaron Pittinger and Maren and Miles Tousley and his nephew, David Parmele.
