Robert Belden

Robert Lee Belden was born December 9, 1930 in Nowata, Oklahoma the son of Lorenzo Dowe and Angeline (Cole) Belden. He completed this life on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the age of 79.

Mr. Belden served his country during the Korean Conflict in the 23rd infantry, 2nd division of the U.S. Army. He received a number of awards and citations. He worked for a number of years as a Journeyman Electrician for the Hinderlite Company in Tulsa. He was an avid horseshoe pitcher and would have received his 50 year patch next year.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Helen Stanfield Belden, whom he married July 18, 1953. He was preceded in death by their only child, David Lee Belden on March 6, 2006; his parents; his brothers, Elmer, Alfred, James and Kenneth Belden; his sister, Elnora Lancaster.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm Sunday at Ninde Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 2nd in the Ninde Brookside Chapel with interment in Floral Haven Cemetery.
