Richard "Dick" Harold Evans
Obituary
Richard Harold Evans was born on April 27, 1919 in Oklahoma City, OK to Everett and Mildred (Russell) Evans. Dick passed from this life on Monday, July 31, 2017 at the age of 98.
Dick was a longtime member of First Methodist Church and served honorably in the Army during WWII. He was a mechanical engineer for Unit Rig and Equipment Company until his retirement.
Dick is survived by his wife of 75 years, Bobbie (Selph) Evans; his children, Marcia (Carl) Snow of Bixby, OK, David Evans of Tulsa, OK and Ron (Katherine) Evans of Sand Springs, OK; grandson, Garrett (Lindsey) Snow of Haskell, OK and his sister, Phyllis Ann Harmony of Borger, TX.
Memorial service 10:30 A.M. Friday at University Village Retirement Community.

I am thinking of Richard this evening, he was a great listener of all my stories. He use to tell me of his military stories of when he was in North Africa. At that time three years ago his memory was pretty darn sharp. I think had his speech had not left him, he was still able to remember he just couldn't get his words to come out. We, my wife and I, were just visiting him and his lovely wife Bobbie two weeks ago and he smiled at me in all the time we spent with them. I know with out a shadow of doubt that he knew who we were. We will all miss him in days to come, he gave me a hard firm grip hand shake as we parted, we neither one knew that would be the last, that meant so much to me, he was a great friend. We will help Bobbie and his family celebrate his life with the memories we have !
