Obituary
Richard Clinton Booker, 67, died peacefully in his home on Thursday, February 22, 2018, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on July 9, 1950, in Huntington Park, California to Bob and Eileen Booker. On May 27, 1977, Richard married his bride Judy Sue Cooper at the Rose Hill Methodist Church. Richard and Judy raised their son Jeffery Clinton Booker in the Tulsa area.
Richard attended the University of Tulsa majoring in Business and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from TU. Upon graduation, Richard began working for Cities Service Oil and Gas company. He went on to attend Tulsa Votech to complete his Airframe and Powerplant certificate, soon after that Richard joined the field of aviation as an aircraft mechanic. He worked for American Airlines for 24 years and retired in 2013.
Richard enjoyed collecting various things throughout his life. He enjoyed supporting the TU Hurricane football and basketball teams. Richard was a tinkerer; he spent many hours on the little details when he was focused on a project. Richard loved his grandchildren deeply and enjoyed spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eileen. He is survived by his father, Bob; wife, Judy; son, Jeff Booker & wife Katie; grandchildren; Kaylyn, Kamryn, Hailey, & Braden; brother, David & wife Annette; nephew, Eric & wife Shannon, nephew, Darryl & wife Taylor, and several extended family members.

Dear Booker family. I am so sorry to have read of the death of Richard. Please accept my sincere condolences. I would like to share something that I have personally found to be comforting. It is found in the Bible at John 5:28, 29 and Revelation 21:4. (Please read) May God give you and your family comfort in His promise that soon we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they are resurrected. I would like to send my most heartfelt condolences to Richard's Family. I have know Richard since September of 1986 when we both were in the same Aviation Generals Class the Tulsa (Vo-) Tech at the Airpark Campus. Richard was considered the smartest guy in the Class always scoring the highest marks if all facets. We both graduated the same day (March of 1988). I further had the privilege of working with him at American Airlines in the G.E. Engine shop for 25 years. I believer we even retired the same day or at least at near the same time. I will always have love & respect the man! He will be missed. My Prayers go out for the family at the grievous time! Mark Cearley
