Richard Bruce “Ricky” Farris was born December 20, 1943 in Williamsport, PA to Chester & Margaret Farris and passed from this life December 17, 2015 in Bartlesville, OK at the age of 71.
Ricky maintained an outgoing and meaningful life. He was always ready to greet friends and strangers alike. His life with ARC Group homes, in Bartlesville provided him a caring environment for pursuing his many interests, traveling, gardening, arts and crafts, volunteering, job/career experiences and living comfortably in his own home. His greatest passion was to help others be happy and he liked to be happy among them.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, his Aunt Fluff and Uncle William Wilkinson, lifelong friend Hassie Bell Word and survived by his sister, Donna Farris; family friend, Frances Redding; Rush, Teresa, Alisha, Peggy, Tyra and all his ARC family.
Ricky will lie in state 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. A memorial reception will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at EmployAbility, Inc., 501 SW Virginia Avenue, Bartlesville, OK. He will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery.
