Ralph Gambrell

Ralph Herbert Gambrell Gambrell, Ralph Herbert, was born June 13, 1926 in Muskogee, OK to Bernice D. (Wade) and Ralph H. Gambrell, Sr. He passed from this life Monday August 4, 2008 at the age of 82. He was a 1944 graduate of Tulsa Central High School, attended the University of Tulsa and served in the US Navy in both World War II and Korea.

Mr. Gambrell worked and retired from Amoco Corporation after 46 years. He was Charter Member of Christ The Redeemer Lutheran Church and was involved with their "Roustabouts" group for many years. He was an active member of the Indian Nations Pontiac Club, the German American Society, the Boy Scouts and he coached little league baseball.

Mr. Gambrell is survived by his wife of 61 years, Emma Jean; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory Ralph and Sheryl Ann Gambrell; daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne K. Gambrell and Allen Ellison; sister and brother-in-law, Kathryne and William Maurer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday at Christ The Redeemer Lutheran Church and military graveside honors will follow at Floral Haven Cemetery.
