Phyllis Dean Weese

Phyllis Dean (Williams) Weese was born January 7, 1928, in Lexington, OK to Thomas Jefferson Williams and Linnie (Davis) Williams and passed from this life in our own home on January 20, 2024, at the age of 96.

Phyllis met her husband at First Baptist Church in Norman, OK and they married January 24, 1948, after his military service in World War II.  They would share 60 years together before he passed in 2009.  They moved to Tulsa in 1948 and had 2 children: David and Cheryl.  People of faith, they enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with Woodland Acres Baptist Church.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Wayne Weese; her brother, Thomas Williams; her sisters, Norween Owens and Jeanne Butler; and her granddaughter, Candice Brenneman.  She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David & Marty Weese; her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl & Patrick Sullivan; 4 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. 

A funeral will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 27, at Woodland Acres Baptist Church, 5511 S. Harvard Ave, Tulsa, OK 74135.
