Obituary
Phelma Jaquetta Smith was born on November 15, 1916 in Longdale, OK to Thomas and Alta (Jordan) Mills. Phelma passed from this life in Spring Hill, KS on Sunday, May 20, 2012, at the age of 95.
Phelma was a hard working mother and friend to many. She was a hero to her children, who admire her and love her for her grace and for being a great role model.
Phelma was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Smith; a brother, James L. Mills; sisters, Lavon Poplin, Crystal Thrasher, Irene Spade, Uarda McBroom and Erma Norris. She is survived by her daughters, Lonnetta Sue Pitts, of Spring Hill, KS and Irene Harris, of Sallisaw, OK; her sons, Jeff Boyd, of Canton, OH and Larry Smith, of Hulbert, OK; a sister, Bernadine Church, of California; 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren.
