Peter Towne Galbraith, II

Peter Towne Galbraith II passed away on August 3, 2026, surrounded by the family he loved so dearly.

Born on November 22, 1968, in Wichita, Kansas, to Peter Galbraith and Carolyn Gartside, Pete grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He attended Bishop Kelley High School, where he built lifelong friendships. He then went on to study at The University of Oklahoma and graduated from Southern Nazarene University.

Pete began his professional journey in sales before joining his stepdad, Terry Gartside, in the real estate business. It was there that Pete found his true calling. A visionary leader with a natural talent for connecting with people, he achieved great success as a real estate broker. In 2008, they merged Terry Gartside Realtors with Coldwell Banker RaderGroup forming Coldwell Banker Select.  Pete became an integral force as President, helping build and guide one of the largest real estate brokerages in Oklahoma.

Throughout his career, Pete’s leadership and passion left an indelible mark on his profession and community. He honorably served in numerous distinguished roles, including President of the Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors, President of the Oklahoma Association of Realtors, and selected by the Governor to serve as Real Estate Commissioner for the State of Oklahoma for several terms.

Pete was very proud of and remained an active member of the Beta Kappa chapter of Sigma Chi at The University of Oklahoma. He was honored to receive the Significant Sig award recognizing his work at Coldwell Banker Select, The Oklahoma Real Estate Commission, President of the Sapulpa Chamber of Commerce, and his work with the Sapulpa Main Street Economic Development program renovating buildings into affordable senior housing.

Above all his professional accomplishments, Pete’s greatest joy, pride, and devotion in life were his two daughters, Madison Teresa Anne Galbraith and Katherine Grace Galbraith, whom he loved very much. He loved being a “girl Dad” and supporting the girls in school, sports, and their many activities. He loved spending time at the lake with them more than anything in life, except for maybe their Friday morning donut tradition they had when they were younger.

Pete is survived by his beloved daughters, Madison and Katherine, his former wife and mother of his children, Anne Mannell. Carolyn Gartside, his mother, and Peter Galbraith, his father. Mark Galbraith (Jen), his brother; Amanda Gartside and Carrie Gartside Anthony (Michael) his stepsisters. Belinda Galbraith, his former wife. Deborah Galbraith and Pamela Degan, his aunts. He also leaves behind Hayley Gilstrap, John Galbraith, Lauren Galbraith, Nathan Galbraith, and Charlotte Anthony, his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his stepdad, Terry Gartside; his aunts, Susan and Teresa Wolcott; his maternal grandparents, Jean and Ted Wolcott; and his paternal grandparents, Lois Walker and Jack Galbraith.

The family will receive friends 5-7:00 PM Monday, August 10 at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 11 at Holy Family Cathedral. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute in Pete’s memory to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration at theaftd.org.
