Paul Groves

Paul Artie Groves was born August 7, 1931 in Ft. Towson, OK to Lillian Groves, shortly after the passing of Paul's father, Thomas. Paul passed from this life in Tulsa, OK August 10, 2011 at the age of 80.

Paul attended Oklahoma A&M, where he met Marguerite Brown, whom he married in May of 1951., and together they raised sons Steve and Bill. After some early journalistic ventures, Paul settled into a career in the heat exchange area of the oil industry, culminating in his retirement from Yuba Heat Transfer in 1996. Paul was active in his church and as a leader in scouting. He enthusiastically shared his love of music and the arts, as well as travel, with his family. Following the passing of Marguerite in 1999, Paul met and befriended Barbara Thurber, also recently widowed, and they were married in July of 2001.

Preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marguerite and his brother, William; he is survived by his wife, Barbara; his brothers Thomas and Robert; his sons, Steve and Bill; daughters-in-law Terri and Debi; and granddaughters Jennifer McKenzie and Kelly Voss.
