Obituary
Orice Earnest Boyd, Jr, affectionately known as “Newt”, was born on November 28, 1929 in Earlsboro, OK to Orice Earnest Boyd and Thelma (Partain) Boyd. Newt passed from this life on Friday, March 9, 2018 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 88. He and his wife, Betty were longtime residents of Independence, KS, just recently moved to Tulsa to be near family.
Newt was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Kathleen Sue (Katie), brother, Phillip and sister, Annie Laurie. He is survived by his wife, Betty Boyd of Tulsa, sons, Phillip of Independence, KS, Lincoln of Tulsa, OK and sister, Sue of Shawnee, OK.
