Ora Delahorne

Ora (Walrath) Delahorne was born August 10, 1925 in Raymond, MN to Clarence and Mary (Koons) Walrath and passed from this life February 15, 2014 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 88.

Ora joined American Airlines in 1946 and worked there until 1953. After spending some years as a homemaker, she joined the Tulsa Public Schools in 1970, spending most of her 20 years there as the librarian of the Teacher's Professional Library. She was active as a Deacon and Elder of the Yale Avenue Presbyterian Church and volunteered much time for Meals on Wheels, Emergency Infant Services, and the Tulsa Public Library.

Ora was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Lorene Holmgren and Charlotte Isaacson; her brothers Elmer Walrath and Glen Walrath. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Delahorne of Ketchum, ID; 2 sons, Jeffrey Delahorne, of Jamestown, NC and Trollhatten, Sweeden and Bruce Delahorne, of Evanston, IL; her brother, Nicholas Walrath; and 7 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 Monday, February 17, 2014 at the Yale Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Emergency Infant Services, 222 S. Houston Ave., Tulsa, OK 74127.
