Olive Cannon

Olive Mae Cannon was born on May 21, 1921 in Tulsa, OK to George Russell Stonum and Gladys Naomi (Grove) Stonum. Olive passed from this life on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at her home in Sand Springs surrounded by her family.

Olive worked at several jobs during her lifetime, including working as a secretary for the Ozark Chamber of Commerce and worked at Edwards Air Force Base handing orders to the pilots.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray William Cannon in 1976 and her sister, Betty June Newkirk. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Sue Kimbrell, of Sand Springs, OK; Deborah Darlene Palmer, of Clarksville, TN; and Lisa Teal; 4 grandchildren, Jeffrey Michael Countess, Jennifer Michelle Turgeon, Chris Ann Palmer and Susan Palmer; 5 great-grandchildren, Kourtney Owens, Brittney Countess, Regal Countess, Tannah Countess and Tabitha Turgeon, 5 great great-grandchildren, Karmen Love-Owens, Elijah Webb, Kruz Gomez, Chessney Countess and Brayden Countess and a niece, Valerie Wilson and her husband, Dr. Roger Wilson.
