Nancy Herrera

Herrera, Nancy Lorayne, 77, passed away October 3, 2008. The beloved wife, mother and grandmother was born May 8, 1931 in Muskogee, OK to Harry Walton and Myrle Lorayne (Ridenour) Potts.

She graduated from Oklahoma A&M (OSU) in 1953. She married Max Herrera in August of 1979 and they enjoyed 29 years together. She retired after more than 20 years as an administrative assistant with The Williams Companies. During her retirement, she volunteered her time and resources to The Boston Avenue Church. She enjoyed playing the piano and played keyboards in the Tulsa Community Band where Max played the tuba. Nancy's greatest love was having her family around her.

She is survived by her husband, Max; two daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Randy Keeton of Tulsa, OK, and Emily and Greg Yoxsimer of Midland, TX; a stepdaughter, Anna Russell and her husband, David of Ft. Worth, TX; three grandchildren, Max Reeves of Phoenix, AZ, David and Hannah Yoxsimer of Midland, TX.

A memorial service will be held 11 am Wednesday, October 8 at The Boston Avenue Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Boston Avenue Church, 1301 S. Boston Ave., Tulsa, OK 74119.
