Monnie Lu Mooberry
Obituary
Monnie Lu Mooberry was born March 22, 1960 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Jack M. & Helen L. (Ramsey) Mooberrry. She was a lifelong Tulsa resident. She passed from this life Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the age of 55 from complications caused by pancreatic cancer.
Monnie was a 1978 graduate of Thomas A. Edison High School in Tulsa and attended interior design school in Dallas, Texas. She went to work with the Interior Design Market in Dallas and, later with Charles Faudre in Tulsa for several years. She most recently worked in sales at PC Promotions.
Monnie enjoyed antiquing and using her artistic flare to make things beautiful. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her parents. She could imitate her parents and shared momentous (and humorous) stories of her past with family and friends. Monnie always had a Boston Terrier as a companion and roommate. Her home reflected her love for her dog and for her family name with lots of Boston Terriers and cow decor.
Monnie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Mark. She is survived by her uncle and aunt, Joe and Judy Mooberry; her cousins, Jenifer Mooberry Calhoon, Philip Mooberry and Micah Mooberry. With sincere gratitude, we thank you all for your many thoughts and prayers.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Wednesday at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home, 39th and South Peoria Ave. A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 51st and South Memorial Drive.

Monnie was such a vivacious, genuinely lovely person. We worked together many years ago in Tulsa and became fast friends. She was with us at the hospital the day my first child was born and I will always think of her holding baby Tanner and welcoming him to this bright, shiny world. Monnie lit up a room and made us all smile. She will be missed.

Oh Moo...we always welcomed each other with open arms just not enough and too far apart. I should have come and visited, Frances certainly encouraged it. I felt it was going to be a goodbye and with us it was always, "see Ya later!". I'm just not good with final goodbyes, so please forgive me this once. I know when we catch up again it will once again be with open arms. I will recognize that smile amongst the light. I'm sure there is a pic out there from the 8th (or 9th) grade dance. I'm an Account Manager at Continental Caps and i've been lucky to work with Monnie for years. It breaks our hearts to hear of the passing of such a wonderful person. Monnie wasn't just a customer to me she was a friend and I valued her for being a kind, selfless human being. They don't make woman like her anymore, she was so sweet, had the purest most genuine heart and she will be truly missed each and every day. I could be having the worst day on earth and one phone call from her would make me smile and brighten my entire day...which is why I guess she was taken so soon from us.
