Mildred Martin

Mildred Faye (Cockrell) Martin, 85, died in Oklahoma City on Sunday, May 24, 2009.

Mrs. Martin was born January 26, 1924 in Row, Oklahoma the daughter of Percy and Hellen (Keith) Cockrell. She married Ray Martin who preceded her in death on October 13, 1986.

She retired as an executive secretary for Peat, Marwick and Mitchell Accounting firm in Tulsa. She was also a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, Sidney Martin and her sister, Azalee Snyder.

She is survived by her sons: Michael G. Martin and his wife Debi of Oklahoma City and Bradley K. Martin and his wife Charlotte of Little Rock, AR; her six Grandchildren: Stormy Lynn Lester, Michael Gene Martin, II, Wendy Leann Mazza, Sydney Hope Martin, Bradley Keith Martin, Jr. and Grayson Martin; her four Great Grandchildren: Drue Michael Lester, Cameron Leon Lester, William Michael Martin and Grace Ann Mazza.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 29th in the Ninde Brookside Chapel. Committal will be 12:00 Noon in the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery. Her nephew, the Rev. John R. Snyder, will officiate.
