Mildred Hammons

Mildred P. Hammons was born on October 4, 1919 in Kennett, Missouri to Charles and Nellie (Nichols) Curtis. Mildred passed from this life on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 90. She was a longtime member of Springdale Baptist Church and was a retired day care worker for Crosstown Day Care Center.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Hammons, this August would have been their 70th wedding anniversary. Also surviving are her daughters, Betty Jo Axelsen, of Tulsa, OK, Mary Yarus, of Houston, TX and Martha Jane "Susie" Kennett, of Tulsa, OK; a son, William Henry "Hank" Hammons, of Columbia, MO; her sisters, Fay Easley and Hazel Sutterfield, both of Tulsa, OK; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
