Mayola (Smith) Harrison was born June 25, 1923 in Grayson, OK to Marvin & Lottie (Payne) Smith and passed from this life on May 29, 2016 at the age of 92.
Mayola was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin Harrison; her son, Colis Harrison; her sister, Alberta Crisp; and her brother, Luchus Smith. She is survived by her daughters, Rougenia Harrison and Rosaland Hudson; her sons, Melvin Harrison, Jr. and Delbert Harrison; her sisters, Ruth Williams and Joyce Geller; her 4 grandchildren; and her 4 great grandchildren.
She will lie in state Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. A funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Greater Sunrise Missionary Baptist Church and she will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Grayson, OK at 3:00 p.m. Friday.
