Maxine Franklin

Maxine Franklin passed from this life on September 5, 2008 at the age of 87. She was born February 7, 1921 in Cherokee County, Oklahoma to Robert Edward and Florence Alma Crisp.

A long-time Tulsa resident, she enjoyed her Native American heritage and was a participating member of the Cherokee Tribe. She, also, was a member of Brookhaven Christian Church. In addition to being a homemaker Maxine was well known for her quilting, knitting, and service to others.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 49 years, Henry Bernard Franklin; and her son, Ronnie Franklin. She is survived by her son, Dan and his wife Cindy Franklin; her daughter-in-law, Linda Franklin; her sister, Pauline Cole; her sister-in-law, Mary Sue and her husband Leon Stagg; her brother-in-law, Don and his wife June Franklin; her grandchildren, Sarah, Chelsea, Robert, Tamra, and Tanya; and her great grandchildren, Ryan and Carson.

Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 9 at Brookhaven Christian Church with a graveside committal following at Floral Haven Memorial Cemetery.
