Mary Lu Shirk was born on December 23, 1916 in Red Level, Alabama to Will & Lula (Ard) Reynolds. Mary Lu passed from this life on Thursday, June 13, 2013 surrounded by her immediate family at the age of 96.
Mary Lu was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Davis Shirk in 1988 and her daughter, Frances Shirk and a daughter-in-law, Laura Shirk. She is survived by her son, Charles F. Shirk, of the home; a daughter, Sara Begay, of Okmulgee, OK; grandchildren, Cassandra Wells, of Norman, OK, Denise Stroup, of Texas and William Morgan Shirk, of Tulsa; 6 great grandchildren, Timothy, Chelsea, Jesse, Jade, Juliet and Abigail and 1 great great granddaughter, Brianna Dawn Gleason.
