Mary Sherman

Born in Sherman, Texas, January 15, 1923; Ann passed from this life Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22, 2012 in Tulsa at the age of 89 years.

After graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a BA in Music at age 19, she married John Walter Sherman, the love of her life. She loved playing golf and watching sporting events with John.

Mary Ann was delightfully creative and spirited. "Ann"as she was later calledspent endless hours fashioning gowns to wear to the formal functions they attended through John's active participation in the Tulsa Men's Club.

She contributed her time to various organizations and was an active member of Boston Avenue Methodist Church for over 50 years. She is survived by her children John W. Sherman Jr. and Suzanne Sherman Anderson, her three grandchildren Sam, Molly and Max Anderson, and her son John's wife, Pam.

She lived a purposeful life and her friendly disposition brightened those around her. She will be dearly missed by her family and all those she knew.
