Mary McFarland

Mary Celia (Wilson) McFarland was born July 16, 1924 in Natoize, Kansas to Oney and Flora (Bolin) Wilson and passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at the age of 84.

After pursuing her education Mary married the love of her life, Orville Ray McFarland on June 4, 1948 who passed away in 2000 after 52 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Ona Marie McFarland; and her sisters, Virginia and Lillie. Mary is survived by her daughter Jackie and her husband Ron Vaughan of Skiatook, Oklahoma; her sisters, Dorothy and her husband Jim Rinck, of Kansas, Geraldine Jay of Copan, Oklahoma, and Betty Smith, of Kansas; her grandchildren, Wendy and her husband Marc Orr, Robert and his wife Jody Vaughan, and Richard and his wife Sarah Vaughan; and her six great grandchildren, Hannah, Kevin, Ethan, Quincy, Sean and Dustin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Mary enjoyed her art work immensely and painted in all mediums. In fact, Mary brought color to all the lives she touched. She will be greatly missed by all. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Monday, February 9, 2009 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
