Martha J. Phillpott

Martha J. Phillpott was born on April 28, 1938 in Wagner, OK to Jacob and Beulah (Baker) Wassom. Martha, a longtime resident of Jenks, passed from this life in Tulsa, OK on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the age of 78.

She dedicated her life to others. She stood by her husband of 30 years as a military wife through three tours of duty during the Vietnam War. Then supporting her two sons through military careers fighting the war on drugs and terrorism. Always the first to aid any of her family and friends. Her passing will diminish us all, and those who knew and loved her are better people for it.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenton Keith Phillpott in 1988. She is survived by her sons, Kenton K. Phillpott, Jr. of Goldsboro, NC and Perry Phillpott of Jenks, OK; a sister, Margaret Rooks of Inola, OK; brothers, Lonnie Wassom of Redbud, OK and Kenneth Wassom of Wagoner, OK; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
