Margaret Grisez

Margaret Rita (O'Brien) Grisez was born September 25, 1927 in Tulsa, OK to Charles Henry and Martha (Grillot) O'Brien. Rita passed from this life November 15, 2013 in Tulsa at the age of 86.

Rita excelled both within and outside the home. In addition to providing her family with the warmth of a loving home she enjoyed her volunteer work at St. John Medical Center as one of their "Pink Ladies". She also volunteered at both the Madonna House and Meals on Wheels. She was a member of Christ the King Women's Club, Madalene's Women's Club, St. Charles Guild and Ranch Acres Garden Club. When not traveling with her husband of sixty-six years, William Robert Grisez, Rita enjoyed gardening, painting, playing bridge and embracing her love of the arts.

Rita is survived by her husband; her daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanne Grisez & Steve Hingey, Susie & Rex Browne, Donna & Corky Weber, Jacque & Alex Winslow and Julie & Jeff Buch; her son and daughter-in-law, Beau & Lynn Grisez; her sisters, Lois Joyce and Eileen Decker; her brother, Danny O'Brien; 14 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

Rita will lie in state 10:00 am4:00 pm Sunday at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. The rosary will be prayed 7:00 pm Sunday and a funeral mass will be held 10:00 am Monday, both at the Church of the Madalene. Friends may contribute in Rita's memory to the Madonna House, Oklahoma Methodist Manor, Cobb Landing or St. Francis Hospice.
