Louise Dassler

Louise (Sortore) Dassler was born February 24, 1924 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Milliard T. and Girves Pauline (Knight) Sortore and passed from this life June 26, 2009 at the age of 85.

Louise graduated from Webster High School in 1943 and was named Miss Mid-Continent during WWII. After retiring from S.H. Kress, Louise was involved in Ladies Oriental Shrine and was a member of Evangelistic Temple and Faith Assembly of God. She had a love for cooking and enjoyed sharing her talent with others. Louise was a consummate hostess and a faithful caretaker for the entire family. In addition she was an avid sports fan and loved by all that met her.

Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lon Carl Dassler, Louise is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Steve Rohman; her sister, Norma S. Porter; her granddaughter, Julie Rohman; her nephews, Don and Michael Porter; her great niece, Danielle Porter; her aunt, Dorothy Corlett and her uncle, James Knight.

Louise will lie in state 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home with family visitation from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Assembly of God, Tulsa, Oklahoma with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
