Lois Srack

Lois (Courtney) Srack was born April 27, 1910 in Morganton, North Carolina to John Lewis and Maggie Bell (Powe) Courtney and passed from this life on March 19, 2011 in Blackwell, Oklahoma at the age of 100.

Her work ethic was surpassed only by her love of her family. She quit school during second grade to help take care of her younger siblings. At the age of 14 she went to work in a furniture factory to help support her large family. She was very family oriented and loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husbands Daniel U. Fair and John O. Srack; her sisters, Juanita Vaillancourt, Mae Ramsey, Genieve Cummings and Billie Burns; her brothers, Luke Medford, Hanley Medford and Elmer Clements; she is survived by her sister, Ruth Penland; her son, James Douglas Fair; her step daughter, Joan Pridemore; her grandchildren, Dan Fair, Sandra Keen and John Fair; her step grandchildren, Perry Freeman, Randy Freeman and Barry Freeman; 15 great grandchildren; and 23 great great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Dick Duck Cemetery, Catoosa, Oklahoma.
