Lillian Mae Harmon

Lillian Mae Harmon, age 97, passed on to her heavenly home on May 27, 2016. She was born on July 11, 1918 in Cleveland, OK. She was the youngest child born to John & Bessie Howard. She spent most of her childhood living in the Turley, OK area. She graduated from Turley High School.

Lillian married Lee Alexander Harmon on March 30, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1997. Lillian lived in the Tulsa, OK area most of her adult life. She was most recently a resident of the Grand Villa Nursing Home in Grove, OK.

Lillian was a very creative and talented person. She enjoyed painting and was a talented painter. She enjoyed reading and writing stories. She enjoyed travelling. She and Lee traveled abroad several times in her earlier years. She liked to bowl and to play cards. She bowled in numerous bowling leagues and belonged to several card groups during the years. Lillian was a loving mother and grandmother.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parent, John & Bessie Howard; her husband, Lee Harmon; three brothers, William Howard, Harry Howard and Jim Howard; two sisters, Sue Howard Mullen and Bessie Howard Markwardt.

Lillian is survived by three sons and their spouses, Phillip & Elsie Harmon of Tulsa, OK, David & Vinnie Harmon of Grove, OK and Rodney &Sharee Harmon of Tulsa, OK; two daughters and their spouses, Marilyn & David Peterson of Tigard, OR and Barbara & Robert Terrell of Littlerock, AR; nephew and spouse, Bill & Barbara Markwardt; and niece, Carol Tillman; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; four great, great grandchildren; and two special caregivers, April Hayes and Meliah Dickson.

Funeral services are planned for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Ninde Brookside Chapel, 3841 S. Peoria, Tulsa, OK. Burial will follow at the Clinton Oaks Cemetery in Tulsa, OK.
