Lillian Claire Schwerzel (Hebner) came into the world the way she left, with a smile. Lillian passed away on March 11, 2016 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 94. Lillian, former runner-up in Mrs. Senior Oklahoma, was known for her quick wit, love of her family, gardening and her cooking. Her pie recipes are kept under lock and key.
Lillian was born on July 2, 1921 in Ladysmith, WI to Emma and William Hebner. She was a registered nurse for over 35 years. She met and married the love of her life, George Henry Schwerzel, to whom she was married for 53 ½ years until his death in 1999. The couple had three children, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children Jayne (Richard) Oertle, George (Elisabeth) Schwerzel and Cherrie (Robin) Siegfried; grandchildren Roman Siegfried, Raegen Siegfried (Amy) , Meisha Oertle and Olivia Phelps (Casey); and great grandchildren, Kloe’ Phelps and Hunter Phelps.
Lillian will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Little Light House in Tulsa.

Hi! My name is Debra Tuttle. My mom was sharing with me some of her childhood memories. Your mom was a childhood neighbor and friend of Lillian Hebner. Their parents farms were close to each other in Thornapple Port Arthur area near Ladysmith, WI. My mom is was born in 1931. Her nee name was Catherine Laub. She remembers Lillian's mom with great fondness and remembers her wonderful baking and can still picture her kitchen in detail on the farm. Lillian's mom always waited for my mom to walk past her house after they walked back from their one room school house and invited her in for fresh baked cookies. I am on a Ancestry and was able to find Lillian's married name and then it led me to see she has passed, and then to Find a Grave, and then I typed in her name with seeking her obit and came to this page. I am not sure if her family will see this or not since it has been eight years since she has passed, but I thought why not! I'll try reaching out anyways.
