Laverne Herring-Elston

Laverne (Albert) Herring-Elston was born February 4, 1937 in Hydro, OK to Frank & Lillie Artis (Lumpkin) Albert. Laverne was granted her angel wings on June 4, 2012 at the age of 75.

She enjoyed her family and was affectionately known to everyone as Honeybun. She took great delight in her gardening, interior decorating, camping and solving crossword puzzles. Laverne is preceded in death by her husband, George Elston; her sisters, Novaline Cross, Willodean Gills, Bobbie Fern Wise and Patsy Reeder; her brother, Travis Albert; and her grandson, Jeramy Duke. She is survived by her son, Garry Elston and wife Carolyn; three daughters, Kim Arns and husband Doug, Tina Dossey, Kelly Herring and her dad Jerry Herring; sister, Shirley Meeks; brothers, James Albert, Jerry Don Albert and wife Lois, Tommy Albert and wife Pat. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and her beloved dog Daisy.
