Hall, LaVerne Edna, 87, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2007 in Abilene, Texas. She was born August 3, 1920 in Greenville, Mississippi the daughter of William David and Suzanne Green. She was a member of Tulsa's First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 happily married years, James Benton Hall, Jr., who was retired after 34 years as Sales Representative for Lorillard Tobacco Corp. LaVerne served in many volunteer capacities through the years, Doctor's Hospital, St. John's Hospital, Children's Medical Center, Girl Scouts, Animal Aid and was a member of Delta Rho Delta sorority. We give thanks for having shared her life, her love, her caring and her empathy. She was a loving and devoted wife, Mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Sue Byers of Abilene, Texas, 3 grandchildren, Justin Nirum Byers, IV, Peter Benton Byers and Christine Sue Byers and one great grandson, Austin David Byers all of Austin, Texas. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2007 at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
